VW TYPE 3 RESTORATION
The automatic wagon was acquired in May 2021. Its engine ran nicely but drive could not be engaged.
It turned out that the differential was blown. After sourcing parts from various locations, and making a large diameter O-ring for the diff to gearbox joint, the drive problem was resolved.
In the meantime, body repairs are underway, all new rubbers sourced from US, and preparations being made for a new interior and a repaint.
